Studies show that one of the top challenges that HR professionals face is how to keep their organization in compliance. Working to keep up with the constantly changing federal and state employment laws is particularly difficult for midsize businesses. In fact, some organizations simply can’t keep up and choose to ignore employment laws—but this approach can lead to a variety of risks including audits and expensive lawsuits that will siphon dollars, time and resources away from other business objectives.
Namely recognizes that to deliver on our mission to help organizations build a better workplace, we need to make it easy for midmarket companies to remain compliant. We have been doubling down on our efforts to provide the tools and services that can help companies adhere to the ever-changing federal and state regulations.
We are pleased to announce the first wave of these enhancements, a delivered integration directly with E-Verify. E-Verify is an Internet-based system that compares information entered by an employer from an employee’s Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to records available to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) to confirm employment eligibility. The use of E-Verify is mandatory in certain situations (i.e. hiring federal contractors) and several states.
By bringing the E-Verify experience into the Namely product we provide our clients with a more efficient process that lowers the probability of compliance and data entry issues while saving time by eliminating double-data entry. The update allows clients to:
Create, submit, and view E-Verify cases seamlessly from within Namely
Reduce errors and save time by pre-populating E-Verify case form fields based on employee profile information
View E-Verify case reports in Namely for auditing and compliance requirements
The integration was launched in Beta at the end of September and has been met with extremely positive feedback from Namely’s client base. Allison Stevens, People Operations Manager and Namely client from Total Expert shared, “It could not have been any easier! Absolute slam dunk on Namely’s part. Having employee information such as DOB, SSN, email, etc. prefilled was a gift. A+ at every level of the process.”
This enhancement is just one component of what Namely plans to deliver in 2019+ to help midmarket organizations stay compliant. Stay tuned for more exciting product announcements from Namely!
