Just in time for the iPhone X, Namely has launched Version 3.3.1 of its iOS mobile app. This latest version takes full advantage of the new features unique to iOS 11. You’ll notice a handful of improvements designed to bring your workforce even closer together. Read on to learn what’s new.
iPhone X Compatibility
Knowing that the release of the iPhone X would be a game-changer, we wanted to be ready. The newest version of the Namely iOS mobile app supports a better fit to the screen size of the new phone as well as haptic, or touch-sensitive, feedback to improve the feel of navigation.
Time Off Accessibility
Requesting and reviewing time off are one of the most commonly used features on Namely’s app, so we’ve made it even easier to use. Our new PTO dashboard delivers real time notifications and displays team time off, so managers have a birds-eye view of how vacation schedules impact the whole team. Managers now have the ability to approve or deny PTO requests with the swipe of a finger. The app even displays any potential conflicts to help managers better manage out of office coverage.
Global Employee Connections
The employee directory is now easier than ever to navigate. New section headers group employees by last name, ensuring easy access to coworker profiles. You can also switch to a grid view of the employee directory and scroll through photos rather than a list of names. Plus, once you visit an employee’s page on the mobile app, you can scroll through the full history of their feed posts.
Why Focus on Mobile?
A survey last year revealed that 76 percent of all employees would use a mobile app to access their company’s HR tools. With thousands of users using the Namely iOS app regularly, mobile has become a powerful tool for driving employee engagement. As technology continues to evolve, it's crucial to provide employees with an easy-to-use platform that offers the features that are most important to them, like time off management and ready access to company updates. At Namely, delivering on the promise of mobile HR is a top priority.
