Namely Welcomes New CTO, Advisors For Midmarket Companies

At Namely, we’re on a mission to help mid-sized companies build better workplaces. That’s no small task: it requires a best-in-class technology platform, a deep understanding of the intricacies of HR, and a passion for the professionals and employees we serve.

Investing further in our product and technology is our top priority in 2017. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the newest additions to the Namely team: Paul Rogers, joining us as Chief Technology Officer, along with Karen Peacock and John Kinzer, who both join us as formal advisors.

Paul Rogers, CTO

Paul brings three decades of engineering experience to Namely, where he’ll lead our technology team. He joins us from RetailMeNot, where he acted as CTO through their global expansion. Paul is no stranger to high-growth environments: he previously worked as Site Director for Google’s Chicago and Austin offices.

Paul has a deep passion for engineering and technology—but perhaps more importantly, he understands that good technology and good HR go hand-in-hand.

“An innovative culture and driven talent are key to great engineering today. That’s why I’m thrilled to join Namely,” explains Paul. “I’m excited to work with this team, both to build the best HR platform on the market and to grow the engineering organization to its fullest potential.”

Karen Peacock, Advisor

Karen joins Namely as an advisor, focused on product and business strategy. Karen spent fifteen years at Intuit, culminating in her role as SVP of Small Business.

Leading a business that included QuickBooks and more, Karen knows how to build products that transform everyday tasks into delightful experiences. Intuit has set a gold standard for B2B companies: Fast Company, for example, named Intuit one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Design.

Given that 47% of companies say “Poor User Experience” has the greatest impact on their HR vendor satisfaction rating, we’re committed to creating a game-changing user experience and thrilled to have Karen’s guidance along the way.

John Kinzer, Advisor

John joins Namely as an advisor, leveraging his deep finance expertise. As CFO of HubSpot, he led the company through IPO and continues to play a vital role in their outstanding performance. Prior to HubSpot, he served as CFO for Blackboard, Inc., the leading SaaS education company.

For companies to be truly impactful, the HR-finance partnership is a critical one. As a finance leader, John’s insights will help shape Namely’s internal operations and our platform, too.

“I’m thrilled to have Paul, Karen, and John on board as we continue our journey,” says Matt Straz, Namely’s Founder and CEO. “Mid-sized companies, which are so core to our economy, deserve enterprise-grade technology to help HR people and the employees they support. I’m confident that our team can continue to deliver just that.”
